As trail runners, high altitude training is highly recommended by the experts to increase your stamina and improve your performance in the trail races. In this camp we make sure that no matter which level of running you are in at the moment, you will get balanced challenge and a chance to experience this spectacular destination from a very unique perspective.

DAY 2 WEDNESDAY | CHAME TO UPPER PISANG | MARCH 4
Once everyone has arrived at The Peaks Resort + Spa, we’ll convene at 2 p.m. for our official Retreat Opening Meet + Greet. After introductions, we’ll review the weekend’s itinerary. Then we’ll take the gondola to the valley floor for our first Mindful Running Form Clinic followed by a relaxed shake-out run on serene trail on mostly flat ground. After some free time to freshen up, we’ll meet for dinner in Mountain Village.

YOU ARE ADVISED TO ARRANGE YOUR OWN TRAVEL INSURANCE BEFORE COMING.
WE WILL BE TAKING YOUR PASSPORT DETAILS 10 DAYS BEFORE TO APPLY FOR THE ANNAPURNA PERMITS BEFORE WE ARRIVE THERE. THERE WILL BE PERMIT CHECKS IN FOUR PLACES BEFORE HEADING TO THE CIRCUIT.

SUPPORT FOR THE KARNALI CLUB IN JUMLA
KARNALI JUMLA HAS PRODUCED TOP TRAIL ATHLETES LIKE SUNMAYA BUDHA, PURNA LAXMI, DURGA BUDHA AND MANY MORE IN PAST FEW YEARS. THE CLUB EXISTS IN THE REGION WHERE CHILD MARRIAGES ARE STILL RAMPANT. THIS IS AN INITIATIVE TO UPLIFT THE CLUB FOR IT’S ACTIVITIES WITH THE ATHLETES ESPECIALLY THE GIRLS ASPIRING TO BE WORLD CLASS RUNNERS.
ORGANISE SCHOOL RACE IN MANANG
Race with the children of the himalayas ! We will be organising a short fun trail race in the village. You can support the local school by bringing books, shoes or recyclable education and sports equipments.
ABOUT YOUR CAMP ORGANIZERs
Puri Garcia aka PG Coach is a professional physical education coach, Personal trainer, Certified Ironman coach, ultra trail runner and cyclist based in Singapore. She believed in optimizing health and performance and has passion for wellness and healthy eating.
She is a breast cancer survivor and mother of three children and known for being inspirational and caring amongst her social circle and clients. She organizes women’s fitness bootcamp in Bali, camp in Spain and came to Nepal looking for something more challenging and different as a trail runner.
Feminist at heart, she has chosen to work with the group of trail running girls in Nepal who are pioneering the trail running scene in Nepal. Due to her support, the first trail running camp was successfully launched and conducted at Bandipur in March 2019.
Preeti Khattri has been involved in trail running in Nepal since 2015. She has been the Race director, Kathmandu Trail Race Series and founder Nepal Trail Series. She is an engineer with craze for ultra running on Nepali trails. A feminist at heart and an outdoor junkie she has worked to develop various outdoor projects with clients like goheritage runs, India, Trail Running Nepal, Himalayan adventure labs and initiated projects with Mira Rai Initiative for the professional development of the Nepali trail athletes. She believes in the power of income generating projects to empower women and hence, is now busy creating business opportunities in Nepal where the athletes especially females could be hired. Joining these trail running camps are one opportunity where runners could make a true difference in the athletes’ life.

cHHECHI SHERPA RAI
Chhechi is the first Nepali female to win the 1700 km Great Himalayan Trail Race in 2017, She is a mother of a child and a strong inspirational athlete. She is focusing on finishing her education and also guides solo women coming to Nepal.
SUNMAYA BUDHA
Sunmaya Budha from Jumla, was given opportunity by Trail Running Nepal, to race in Hong Kong where she won the youngest Asian Sky-running Champion in 2017. Originally from Jumla, the district known for the
highest rate of child marriages, she has broken barrier to come out and
win the international title.
CHHOKI SHERPA
Chhoki Sherpa from Okhaldunga, is a small built but sturdy athlete who had finished second to Chhechi in Annapurna 300 km mandala race and done couple of other ultra races in Nepal. Since graduation from Exchange and Empower program in 2018, she has got many opportunities to work as a trail running guide and trekking guide.
RASHILA TAMANG
Rashila Tamang is an ambitious athlete from a small village in Dhading, She came to Kathmandu in 2015 and ran with Mira in a fun run and finished second. She went on to rank in podium in Kathmandu Trail Race series 2017. Since her graduation from EnE program 2018, she is highly sought female trekking and running guide in Kathmandu.
MAHESH THAPA
Mahesh Thapa, is a seasoned trekking and running guide working with Pyrenees Nepal treks and trail. He has helped organize and conduct many races in Nepal. He was in charge of the course management for the first PG coach trail camp in Bandipur.
