About Nepal TRAIL SERIES

Nepal trail series was founded in 2019, preceding the Golden Trail World Series Finale by Salomon in Annapurna marathon, that took place in Nepal in 2019.

The idea was to build up the village races and create a first national series of ultra races which will not only be about races but also about unique cultural and social experience of the villages.

The talented trail athletes of Nepal come from these remote locations of Nepal. Races in the cities limits a lot of athletes from showing up. The most important aspect of the national series was our collaboration with the respective village race organisers, empowering them with the knowledge and necessary platform to promote their village,village races and the talented youth.

In 2020, the objectives of the Nepal Trail Series are

1. Promote the villages as trail running destination.

2. Help the athletes and clubs to get necessary support to pursue the sport.

3. Collaborate with the village race directors to organise a standard and safe race series in Nepal.
